RMBOA Mini-Ambles
Four times a year in
non-ramble years and two or three times in Ramble years, the RMBOA holds an informal
gathering of members and guests on the river. Unlike the Ramble, the
RMBOA does not provide facilities such as toilets, entertainment or
catered meals, nor does it arrange the river voyage.
Because the RMBOA
does not provide facilities support for these events (other than selecting the
mooring spot), mini-ambles do not attract a fee as does the Ramble. The
Mini-Ambles are an excellent opportunity for potential new members to
come along on an Association outing and get to know some of the
members.
Because RMBOA
members are spread along the length of the Murray River in South
Australia, the location of Mini-Ambles is varied in an attempt to make
sure that as many members as possible have an opportunity to
participate.

Mini-Amble at
Blanchetown. This mini-amble will be a low key event with
perhaps a meal at the Blanchetown pub - we will need numbers
to book this. If the weather is suitable, there will be a
tinny run up the lagoon opposite the mooring site. This
lagoon goes from the Boat Haven Marina up to Julia Is/Reed
Island near Roonka. There are public toilets, a caravan park
and free public camping near the mooring site. Non-members
are welcome to attend and learn about the RMBOA. Contact the

intend to come.

The RMBOA XMAS Party and Mini-Amble will be held at the
Mary-Ann Reserve on the banks of the Murray River, Mannum.
The party will start at around 11am on Sunday the 6th at the
Lions Shelter and BBQ.
Members and guests wishing to receive a present from Santa
are required to bring a present for a person of the same
gender. The value of the present is to be no more than
$5-$10.
