Due to the continuing severe weather warning in the riverland, the Blanchetown Mini-Amble on the 4th & 5th September has been cancelled for safety reasons.

The RMBOA has been informed that the Blanchetown Waste Disposal Station (WDS) is now operational again.

There may be a slight variation to the projected Ramble itinerary as it appears that the Houseboat Hirer's Association (HHA) is planning to have its open day in Mannum on the day the Ramble was to arrive in Mannum.

The RMBOA Google earth placemark file has been updated to show the local of the channels markers below Lock 2 as described in the Notice To Mariners website.

The next Mini-Amble will be held at Blanchetown on the 4th & 5th September 2011. Members and non-members are welcome to attend.

The minutes of the members meeting on the 4th August  are in the members-only area. The access username and password are contained in the weekly river news email and the Winter Edition of The Rambler magazine.

Also in the members-only area is a copy of the EPA-reviewed RMBOA Greywater Standard Operating Procedures for low-risk private vessels. These procedures provide guidance on how low risk private vessels can comply with the Greywater regulations by a combination of behavioural changes and modifications to the vessel.

The members-only area also contains a presentation on the 2011 RMBOA River Ramble. The Ramble will travel from Waikerie to Mannum, commencing on the 27th April and ending on the 7th May. The Ramble will operate over two legs. Leg 1 - Waikerie to Blanchetown and Leg 2 - Swan Reach to Mannum. Transportation will be available for Ramblers who launch at the beginning of the Ramble, but store their trailers at the end points.

The EPA Power Point Presentation to the RMBOA is now available in the members only area.

A new version of the black water calculator and the blackwater record spreadsheet have been produced based on the presentation by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the RMBOA on the 10th June. They are currently only available to members in the Members-Only Area of the website. As always, the username and password for this area are in the Weekly River News email and The Rambler magazine.
