Mini - Amble Photographs
The
mini-Amble was a great success with over 20 boats coming by water and
about 5 trailer sailers coming by land. Around six campervans and
caravans were there. At the barbeque and entertainment
there were well over 70 in attendance, it was difficult to get
exact numbers as people kept moving around!! Some photographs of the
event can be found here.
Please e-mail the secretary (secretary @rmboa.org.au) if
you have any comments.

Extended Mini-Amble Ramble Alternative
An
extended mini Amble from Friday 18th to
Monday 21st March 2008 will be held at Kroehn’s Landing. It will take place regardless of weather
conditions. The
Amble is not a member’s only event; feel
free to invite your friends or prospective new members. There is no
registration
fee or memorabilia as it is an unofficial get together.
As we will hold a barbeque (RMBOA will
supply the meat) it is essential that you contact the secretary (0417
870955; (08)
82691530 or secretary@rmboa.org.au by Friday
4th April to register your interest in attending the
barbeque,
so we can organise the catering. Please
bring a salad!
Some facts about
Kroehn’s Landing
- Kroehn’s landing is
located a few km upstream of the Wongulla Boat Ramp on the opposite
bank. At position 218 - 219km according to
“The Pilot” – “purple” edition). If you have GPS these are the
coordinates S34 41.616 and E129 35.422.
- Bush camping is possible
but there are no facilities (e.g. toilets, showers or shops) it is not
known whether there is mobile phone coverage for phones without
external antennae. The closest town on the same side of the river is
Nildottie (approx 8km)
- Unlike the Ramble, no
toilets will be supplied, if you are camping or your boat has no
facilities the disposal of your waste and rubbish is your
responsibility, please think ahead.
- A barbeque and
entertainment will be held on Saturday
19th April, the RMBOA will supply the
meat, tea and coffee. Please bring a salad
or similar for the barbeque and don’t forget to
register your intention
to attend by 4th April so we can organise the
catering.

A
re-organisation of the web site is under way. This re-organisation is
the first step in consolidating the Association's web pages before
moving to a new service provider.
Some of the
web pages such as the "Members Only Area" and the "Photo Gallery" will
be temporarily unavailable. Please be patient as the changes are
implemented.
The new
format uses graphical buttons and may be slower to load for dial-up
users. If you find that this is too slow, please let the Webmaster
know.
