Other
EPA Blackwater Audits
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is
charged with the protection of the environment in South
Australia. Part of their duties is to ensure that there are
no black water discharges (sewage) from boats in the Murray
River. This entails examining vessels in the river for
compliance to the current regulations.
The EPA has kindly provided information to the
RMBOA about the check lists they use and the forms that they
send to boat owners.
Riverside Astronomy
One of the most obvious things about mooring
along the river away from the townships is how dark the sky
is and how bright the stars are. While a large telescope
would be good in these conditions, there are plenty of
things to see with the naked eye or a good pair of
binoculars.
The following links will provide enough
resources to get you started as a Riverside Astronomer.
If
you have "Tips and Tricks" of your own please e-mail (in any digital
format) the Webmaster
