Welcome to the RMBOA
The River Murray Boat Owners Association (RMBOA) of South Australia Inc is a group of people who enjoy the Murray for its beauty, wildlife, vegetation, recreational qualities and priceless value to our country.
We are a friendly association that enjoys a good get together at our regular events where we always give a warm welcome to new members and you do not have to own a boat to be a member, you just need a love of being on the river.
Members have access to the latest river news, articles on safety, communication, mooring, fuel and water containers etc. Calculators for holding tanks, cruise and recording spreadsheets. Information on weather, maps, river levels, voyage planning and much more (only visible after member login).... so why not join us !!!
The RMBOA represents its members to government organisations such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), The Department for Environment and Water (DEW), The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) and SA Planning.
We are perhaps best known for conducting the biennial "River Ramble", a leisurely cruise to enjoy the river, meet old or make new, friends, spanning over many days.
Mini Ambles are smaller events that give members an opportunity to meet fellow members in a river boating atmosphere.
The Rambler magazine is great way to find out what is going on. It is published quarterly and provides in depth coverage of issues and events affecting members of the association. The Rambler can be accessed from the "members area" of our web page (only visible to members after logging in). We also have a regular newsletter and a public presence on facebook plus a members only facebook group where you can catch up on all the latest river news.
